KNOTHE-TEC (Training and Educational Consultants), was founded in 1999 by Michael Knothe.  

KNOTHE-TEC is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, KNOTHE-TEC brings years of experience and knowledge in the area of Fleet Readiness and Logistics.

KNOTHE-TEC is managed and operated by Mr. Knothe and his dynamic team with the skills needed to present detailed and complicated material.

Mr. Knothe and the KNOTHE-TEC Team have been Developing/Presenting Logistics Training from 1999 through current date.

KNOTHE-TEC develops Logistic Courses, (which cover New Construction Shipbuilding/Boat Building, Fleet Modernization) for Surface Combatants, Carriers, Submarines, Unmanned-Ship-Forces, Small Boats and Expeditionary Forces involved in Fleet Readiness, Acquisition Logistics, Product Support Management, Provisioning, Configuration Management, Equipment/ System Maintenance Plans, Class Maintenance Plans, Allowance Development/Allowance Computation, Readiness Based Sparing / Operational Availability, Outfitting-Fittingout/Supply Chain Management, and Operational Fleet Readiness) Training Courses offered to Navy & Marine Corp. Government Civilian, Military, and Navy & Marine Corp. Support Contractor Personnel, Department of Defense Contractors (Equipment/System Contractors, Shipbuilders, Ship Repair Contractors) and Foreign Military Sales Programs & Foreign Naval Activities.

Our courses continue to be received by Headquarter Systems Commands, In-Service Engineering Activities, Navy Field Activities Personnel (i.e., Government Civilian, Military), Navy Support Contractor Personnel, and Department of Defense Contractors (i.e., Equipment/System Contractors, Shipbuilders and Ship Repair Contractors).

KNOTHE-TEC has modified many of its current Courses to fit the requirements of its Clients needs/requirements for their Training needs, at no cost to our Prepaid, Scheduled and Contracted/Confirmed Clients Course Requirements. Normally, KNOTHE-TEC requires at lease 3 to 4 weeks notice of a Scheduled Course Start Date to make these changes or develop a New Course based on our Clients Requirement.  Any and all modified or New Courses are the Sole Ownership and Copy Rights of KNOTHE-TEC, since there are No Costs for the modification or development of a New Course.

 

Company President Biographical Profile

Michael J. Knothe

Mr. Knothe is a retired federal employee with ten years of military service in the Navy from 1968 through 1978 as a Machinist Mate/Engine Man and is a Vietnam Veteran.  Mr. Knothe was a Federal Employee with the Navy Department from March 1981 through March 1999.  Mr. Knothe has over 45 years, experience in Navy logistics programs with the Navy Department.

Mr. Knothe was employed by the Naval Sea Logistics Center, Mechanicsburg, PA, from 1984 through 1999 in various departments.  Mr. Knothe was a Logistics Management Specialist (DAWIA Certified) assigned to the Acquisition Logistics and Readiness Engineering Department.  He provided logistics support for the NAVSEA 04L, SPAWAR 04L CASREP Metrics and was the Program Manager and Lead Instructor for the Navy Supply Readiness Training Course, Availability/Modernization Supply Readiness Training Course, NAVSEA/NAVSUP Provisioning Course and the Foreign Military Sales COSAL and COSAL Maintenance Training Course.  In addition, he was the Lead Instructor for the Principles of Naval Logistics (PNL) Course sponsored by the Naval Acquisition Logistics Career Management Board (NALCMB).

Mr. Knothe also worked in the NAVSEALOGCEN's Policies, Analysis, and Training Division.  Mr. Knothe was a Logistics Management Specialist/Supply Systems Analyst, within NAVSEALOGCEN's Policies, Analysis, and Training Division.  Mr. Knothe served on the Process Action Team (PAT for (New Construction Review Team, LPD-17 Provisioning Flow Review Team, ISEA/CDM Configuration Review Team, involved in the studies, reviews, development and writing of New Policies for NAVSEA 04L.

Mr. Knothe was the Logistics New Construction and Post Shakedown Availability Supply Readiness Manager at NAVSEALOGCEN for the CG-47, DDG-51, LHD-1 Class, and LPD-17 New Construction Shipbuilding Programs, and was involved in and a team member of the Supply Support Review Teams for the CG-47, DDG-51, LHD-1 Class, LPD-17, SSN-688 and the SSN-21 programs.  Mr. Knothe was also, involved in a variety Special Project Boat & Small Boat Programs for both Navy SEAL programs and various Foreign Small Boat programs contributing to increased Readiness and Support of Navy ships and Small Boats.

Mr. Knothe was employed by the Ships Parts Control Center Mechanicsburg, PA from 1979 through 1984 which changed to NAVICP-M and is now Naval Supply Systems Command-Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP-WSS-M). Mr. Knothe was an Allowance/Equipment Specialist in the HM&E/Electronics/Ordnance COSAL Department for Availability/Overhauls, New Construction/Conversion for Major Combatant ships.  Where, he was tasked to review Configuration Records for all ships and submarines involved in Major Overhauls and Availability Repairs.

Mr. Knothe has provided logistics products and developed training for many of the Department of Defense Contractors (Equipment/System Contractors, Shipbuilders, Ship Repair Contractors) and Foreign Military Sales Programs and Foreign Naval Activities in (Turkey Navy, Spanish Navy, Thailand Navy, Japanese Navy, Taiwan Navy, South Korean Navy, also many Small Boat Contracts for "Unnamed" countries).
